My Top 10 Mood-Boosting Latin Music Hits

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at TCNJ chapter.

Whether I’m preparing to face a busy day or it’s a lazy morning where I get to sleep in, I find myself relying on music to start my day. I cherish my playlists, and the music that I love never fails to give me that kickstart, regardless of what my day looks like. Being hispanic, I have grown up on Latin oldies, as well as Latin pop artists, such as J. LO, Selena, and Ricky Martin. With the sudden emergence of latin pop, rap, and reggaeton in the music industry, it has encouraged me to delve into my Latin roots further.

Here are some Latin pop songs that are fit for just about any occasion. Whether you need a mental break, need to dance it out, or just plain boost your mood – here are some of my favorite tracks.

Happy Jamming!

1.  “Un Dia (ONE DAY) – J Balvin, Tainy, Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny”

This song is so brilliant to me. Dua Lipa’s vocals combined with the chill island beat and the verses of J Balvin and Bad Bunny gel so well together. Plus, it’s cool to see non-latin artists getting involved in latin music.

2. “Yo x Ti, Tu x Mi” – ROSALÍA, Ozuna

ROSALÍA’s vocals are nothing short of perfection. I highly recommend this song if you’re doing your makeup.

3. “Tusa” – KAROL G, Nicki Minaj

Another song that I love to get ready to… it ust makes you feel good about yourself!

4. “Callaita” – Bad Bunny, Tainy

This song, with its a super flowy island vibe, is an instant mood-booster every time.

5. “Con Altura” – ROSALÍA, J Balvin, El Guincho

A new classic for me, ROSALÍA’s Flamenco-trained vocals behind a Reggaeton beat is pure genius.

6. “Que Calor” – Major Lazer, J Balvin, El Alfa, Diplo

If parties or clubs were still a thing these days, this song will definitely make you feel like you’re at one.

7. “Criminal” – Natti Natasha, Ozuna

A song with a slow reggaeton beat that is great to slow down and jam to.

8. “Ya Tú Sabes” – CNCO

This is the perfect combination of boy band charm and latin flare.

9. “Yo Perreo Sola” – Bad Bunny

Translating to “I twerk alone,” this song is nothing short of pure genius. It’s a bop about being independent.

10. “Loco Contigo” – DJ Snake, J Balvin, Tyga

Another homage to American artists collabing with latin talent and another great party song.
