Stuck on a college student budget makes it difficult to plan a $700+ all-inclusive trip to Cancún. The thought of lying out by crystal clear blue water, soaking up the sun sounds amazing, but for some of us, it’s just not happening this year. Don’t be bummed out you’re staying at home. Now is the time to take advantage of that time off to relax and enjoy the little things. Here are six perfect ways to spend your free time:
Catch up on your favorite series
Let’s be honest, it’s been a stressful semester and you haven’t had much time to catch up on your favorite series. Now is the time to sit back and enjoy!
Catch up with loved ones and old friends
It’s quite possible a few of your friends from high school are home too, which makes it the perfect time to chat and catch up over a meal!
Day trips and mini getaways
We’re in Jersey – a prime location. Grab your friends and take a trip to Philly or New York. Walk around, go shopping, hit the bars and clubs and enjoy your time out! Maybe even spend a few nights in Atlantic City with your friends, just for fun.
Get creative with DIY projects
With all that time on your hands, why not be a little creative with DIY projects inspired by Pinterest? How about creating a neat jewelry holder? I personally love DIY projects that help keep me organized and can turn old “garbage” into something useful.
Errands and housekeeping items
Whether it’s updating your music collection, organizing your closet or printing out pictures for your college scrapbook, you can find things that need to be done around the house. There is no better time to do the chores that are always pushed to the bottom of your to-do list than an entire week off!
SLEEP!
Sleeping in never felt so good. Can we all agree that the feeling of not having to set an alarm for the next morning is probably one of the top ten best feelings EVER!?
