9 Thoughts I Had While Listening to Thomas Rhett’s New Album

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Temple chapter.

Thomas Rhett has become a household name with his massive success as a country artist. The twenty-seven-year-old singer/songwriter released his third studio album, Life Changes, in early September, and has received positive reviews from critics and fans.

Alright I am going to be honest…I’m not the biggest country music fan (I do like Sam Hunt, Florida Georgia Line, and Lady Antebellum but that is basically it).

I was a little hesitant to listen to this album when my sister told me it was incredible, but I decided to try it, and I’m glad I did because there are some jams on it that I absolutely love.

Read below to listen to some thoughts I had while listening to Rhett’s new album:

1. Where can I find my own Thomas Rhett?

Let’s be real, Thomas Rhett’s music makes all of us want to find a loving man like him. Listen to any song on the album and I guarantee you will be on the prowl to find your perfect match.

2. His family is precious

From his happy marriage with his wife, to his two beautiful, young daughters, Thomas Rhett’s family always looks picture-perfect. He captures this in many of the songs on the album such as “Sixteen” and “Life Changes.”

3. Why can’t I stop smiling?

Thomas Rhett’s songs are all feel-good hits that celebrate growing up and living life. You cannot help but smile at every song.

4. “Grave” is going to be my wedding song.

This song tells the story of a powerful love that can withstand the test of time. If that doesn’t sound like a fairytale, then I don’t know what does.

5. Why can’t I stop crying?

Yes, Rhett’s songs celebrate life, but sometimes the story is full of all kinds of emotions, both happy and sad. No one likes to analyze the process of growing up and moving on, but this album makes you think about all of your Life Changes.

6. “Leave Right Now” sounds like a song the Chainsmokers would release.

Honestly, I am not complaining. The beat is fun and gives this country song a little EDM twist.

7. “Sixteen” is so relatable.

Retweet if you are not ready to grow up!

8. Is it summer yet?

All of these songs make me want to go to a park, watch the sunset, hang out with friends, listen to good music, eat s’mores, and fall in love. “Unforgettable” captures this exact experience.

9. When is he going on tour?

Good News: Rhett is currently on tour singing songs from the album!

Bad News: He already came to the Philadelphia area…*sighs*

If you haven’t already, go listen to the album! Even if you don’t like country, listen anyway. Thomas Rhett might have just stolen my heart and he might steal yours too.
