Does the hair care brand really do what it claims?
Olaplex is a hair treatment brand that recently gained popularity within the last few years. It predominately claims to help strengthen hair that has been damaged or changed due to coloring or usage of heat. I recently dyed my brunette hair to dirty blonde back in May, and started using Olaplax after it was recommended to me by my hair stylist since I went blonde. Here is everything it’s helped me with.
Olaplex is specifically recommended to those who have dyed their hair a lighter/more blonde color. This is because it helps to repair the bonds that are broken by bleaching or highlighting. I bought the Number 4 and Number 5 products, the shampoo and conditioner to use at home when I wash my hair. Â
After using Olaplex for the past few months, I’ve found that it has helped me maintain my lighter locks. The blonde color has lasted longer than expected while using Olaplex and has remained bright and new-looking. The products have also helped my hair remain stronger and replenished my split ends. Split ends are something I always seem to struggle with since I have very long hair and do not get it cut very often. Â
Since using Olaplex, I’ve noticed far fewer split ends and my hair feels thicker and looks healthier than it ever has. It also feels much smoother when I touch it and frizzes out less when I choose to let it dry naturally after washing it. I recently dyed my hair again a few weeks ago, and I plan to continue using Olaplex to help maintain my lighter color and smoother hair.
While it might be on the more expensive side of hair products, I would say that Olaplex is definitely worth it when it comes to wanting healthier-looking, brighter hair. I would highly recommend it to anyone who has ever dyed their hair a lighter color, or anyone who uses excessive heat on their hair. However, Olaplex can simply be used by anyone who wants healthy hair. Â
