Rihanna’s launch of her Fenty Beauty makeup line is already being called revolutionary, just because of the immediate popularity it’s gained.

The first launch of Fenty Beauty included 16 products including foundations, primer, powder highlighters, contour and highlight sticks, lip gloss, blotting powder, and tools including full sized and travel-sized brushes and a makeup sponge.

If you’ve been on the internet in the past few weeks, you’ll know that everyone is loving the Pro Filt’r foundation line and the powder highlighters. Much of the popularity surrounding the foundation is due to its large shade range. The first launch included 4o foundation shades, ranging from very light to very dark. Fenty Beauty is one of the only brands that carries so many shades, which include some that are generally left out of other lines. This resulted in many of the darker shades selling out within the first week of being on the market.

The shade range is not the only special thing about the Pro Filt’r foundation. The foundation has medium coverage that can be built up to full coverage. It dries down to a natural looking soft-matte finish that almost doesn’t need setting powder.

Another product getting rave reviews is the Killawatt highlighter, which comes in singles and duos. The shade getting the most buzz in the beauty community is Trophy wife, which is a glittery true gold. This shade has gotten mixed reviews because it can show up slightly green on some skin tones, but also looks amazing as an eyeshadow. One of the sleeper hits from the line are the highlighter duos, which come in many colors ranging from light gold, to champagne, to rose gold, making it easy for anyone to find an amazing highlighter that can be seen from space.

I personally own three products from the line; the Pro Filt’r foundation, the Killawatt highlighter duo in Mean Money and Hu$tla Baby, and the Gloss Bomb universal lip luminizer. I recommend all of these products not only because they help me achieve the fresh-faced look known as the “Fenty Face,” but because they are amazing quality.

Fenty Beauty could easily have become another over-hyped celebrity beauty brand, but even if Rihanna’s name was not on the line, the quality of the products definitely speaks for itself.
