Essence Fest prides itself on being a “premiere music and cultural festival.” Since 1993, music lovers, particularly from the African American community have gathered in New Orleans to celebrate the mix of entertainment and culture. Each year, there is a long list of performers. This year that list includes Common, Kendrick Lamar, Elle Varner, Slick Rick, and Mary J. Blige, among several other artists. Ticket costs are $130.50. New Orleans is about to be even hotter this summer. Visit essence.com/festival for more details.

After a long semester, kick back, relax, and enjoy some great music from some of your favorite artists. Get your tickets before they’re gone!
