After accepting her third Video of the Year award, Taylor Swift thanked her fans and announced her tenth studio album to be released this coming October.

On Sunday, August 28th in Newark, New Jersey, Taylor Swift went home with three MTV Video Music Awards, making her the top winner of the entire show. Her short film, “All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version),” directed by Swift herself, earned video of the year, best long-form video, and best direction. Swift became the first artist to ever win video of the year three times in their career, and the second person to receive the best direction award for a video directed by the artist themselves. While accepting the video of the year award, Swift announced that her tenth studio album will be released in late October. In her speech, Swift said, “I had sort of made up my mind that if you were going to be this generous, and give us this, I thought it might be a fun moment to tell you that…that my brand new album comes out October 21st!” The album, titled, “Midnights,” will have a total of thirteen tracks. This will be Swift’s fifth album to be released in the last two years, including the re-recorded versions of, “Fearless,” and “Red.”

Fans speculate the album will be a similar pop style to her older albums like “1989”, and “Lover”. “Swifties” are excited to hear Swift’s new material, and her new album, “Midnights” can be pre-ordered in vinyl, cassette, and CD formats through her website.
