The month of November can frequently be a tad mundane. With the excitement of haunting houses and dressing up in ridiculous costumes behind us, we struggle to keep ourselves occupied until Thanksgiving Break. Instead of sitting in your dorm room & wishing it was Halloweekend again, here are a few options you can choose to check out this November:

Franklin Square Holiday Festival

This is open November 14 until the end of the year. Stop by this little holiday festival for free light and music shows every night — not to mention there will also be good food, local beer, mini golf and a nice cup of hot chocolate!

Holiday Light Show at Fashion District Philadelphia

This event looks amazing. This is the first holiday season at the Fashion District Philadelphia. This runs November 14 until the end of the year as well, stop by for a music and light show & check it out!

Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market

Just outside of City Hall, this little market hosts more than 45 local artisans, designers, crafters and homemade treat vendors selling a variety of gifting ideas and holiday foods in festively lit tents. This begins November 23! If you are in the city for fall break, don’t miss this!

Thanksgiving Day Parade

Happy Thanksgiving! This parade is on November 28 and begins at 8:30 a.m. This popular parade features floats, giant balloons, marching bands and other festive entertainment down the Benjamin Franklin Parkway!

If you are in the city for the week of fall break, make sure to check these out! And if you’re looking for more things to do and see, check out visitphilly.com!

When Rachel isn't obsessively drinking iced coffee by the gallon or binge watching true crime videos on YouTube, you can probably find her writing about her failed love life. She is currently a  junior (*she's ancient*) journalism major at Temple University, and is a Her Campus Temple Campus Correspondent, a Temple Student Government Social Media Manager and a 2020 Owl Team Student Coordinator.Â
