  • Visit a pumpkin patch: Here in Austin, there are so many pumpkin patches to enjoy with friends and take the perfect fall Instagram pictures at. Austin Pumpkin Festival at 2800 S Lamar Blvd is my personal favorite.
  • Make a new playlist: Although midterms are coming up, every study session calls for some good music. Discovering new artists and curating the perfect fall vibe can boost motivation to get through those all-nighters.
  • Buy a new candle: When it comes to fall staples, pumpkin spice candles are a no-brainer. Even if you aren’t a pumpkin spice person, head to your local T.J. Maxx, and find a scent that will get you in the fall mood.
  • Get crafting: Although carving pumpkins is a given, there are so many fall crafts to do with friends or during a well-deserved self care night. Just hop on Pinterest and start getting creative.
  • Bake: There are so many fall baking recipes to try while binging Gilmore Girls or blaring “All Too Well (Taylor’s Version) (10-minute version).” I always enjoy pumpkin muffins and homemade apple pie with warm apple cider on the side.
  • Go thrifting: Whether you still need to find that perfect Halloween costume or the cool breeze just makes you want to find a cozy vintage sweater, Austin has so many spots to thrift a new look.
  • Try a new at-home coffee: While having that first sip of a pumpkin flavored coffee from your favorite coffee shop is vital this fall, you can also try making your own fall coffee recipes at home.
  • Start a new journal: When fall begins, I love buying a new journal to keep track of how I’m feeling. As the seasons change, it is important to prioritize your well-being. Here, GoodRx gives 9 Strategies to Combat Seasonal Depression and Feel Better, including journaling.
  • Go for a nature walk: Spend some time watching the leaves change color at one of the many walking trails trails Austin has to offer. Maybe even go for a run when it gets to that perfect temperature.
