Thanksgiving break is right around the corner and if you are like me you can’t help but predict just who you will run into on your little visit home. Somehow despite going to college your hometown just doesn’t seem to change, and neither do the people that live in it. Here are some people I’ll let you prepare to run into on your wonderful trip home!
1. You’ll of course run into your best friend and get to catch up on everything!
2. You’ll run into the teachers pet from high school that will brag about their amazingly expensive prep school and how they are majoring in 100 million things.
3. You’ll run into your friend who knows the scoop on everyone and you get every detail you missed while away in college.
4. You’ll see your high school enemy…
5. You’ll see people you were acquaintances with in high school and all they will ask you is every generic question you hate answering (What is your major?!)
6. Prepare an escape for when you see the boy who used to have a creepy crush on you.
7. Get ready to come up with some lies when your relatives ask you just how much partying you have been doing (you’re screwed if they are friends with you on Facebook)
8. Pick out a song that you and your best friends can reunite to on the dance floor of a party.
9. Don’t act too surprised when you notice that somehow college has turned a guy from high school into a beautiful angel.
10. Act casual when you run into your old crush and find out he is single
11. Think happy thoughts when you are stuck with your relative that talks your ear off
12. But no matter who you run into, make sure they know just how awesome you still are!
