- Fine Arts Library
This place is absolutely gorgeous. With the quiet places on the fifth floor with a gorgeous view and the cute tables outside for a sunny day making this place is perfect to just eat snacks unwind and or study or attend online classes. The number of times I have taken all my supplies for the day and just stayed there for hours is uncountable. Since not many people know about this place and it is not on the inner campus it is usually not crowded and really pretty as well, 10/10 recommended.
2. Eastwoods Neighborhood Park
This park is a small but cozy and comforting place to go after class, swing on the swings, listen to music, play basketball with friends on their court, or even tennis! This is place is surrounded by trees so green and fresh air is a great way to revivify yourself on a busy day just about a 20-minute walk away from the west campus.
3. UT Turtle Pond
I know this is really basic but I can’t not mention the classics! If you haven’t been there yet, you are missing out. On a sunny day hanging by the water, writing papers, listening to music for relaxation, or just walking past it with a pretty tower view is one of my favorite places on campus. When I was touring UT before coming here, I was in love with this place but I am pretty sure the turtles sold me on it!
4. Pease District Park
With the aesthetic hiking trails and gorgeous limestone bluffs, greenery, and benches to relax on this place is all views you can leave all your problems 0.6 miles away at the UT campus and walk over there for a fun post-class activity!
5. Austin Public Library
If you are willing to go a bit further away from campus this place is a true gem to study with the most amazing downtown Austin views. It has an outdoor deck which is open, airy, with a lot of natural light. With the most amazing views of both the water and the city, this place has to be one of my favorite places to study.
