Her Campus Texas: Describe your ideal date.
Anuj Kudva: Go for a nice dinner at a nice restaurant such as Truluck’s or Carmelo’s, grab some Amy’s ice cream, and then go to the 360 over look to get a good view of the Austin skyline to the night sky.
HCTX: What’s is your perfect idea of Valentine’s Day?
AK: Godiva Leches Cake and some good company.
HCTX: Where do you see yourself in ten years?
AK: In an M.D.-PHD program hopefully at UT Southwestern doing research on regenerative therapies ideally regarding neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s. I wouldn’t mind to have traveled the world more. I’d like to have been to Southeast Asia and Africa.
HCTX: Where’s your favorite place in the world?
AK: Singapore. Because it’s a mix of cultures and various ethnic cuisines and I love food. They have an amazing bird park and animals.
HCTX: Who’s your celebrity crush?
AK: Jennifer Aniston, she’s still hot.
HCTX: Why do people call you Asnooj?
AK: People call me Asnooj because when we went to a national conference for Student Engineering Council we were driving to Chicago from Urbana-Champaign and there was nothing to do, so they thought I slept the most.
HCTX: What’s your favorite sport?
AK: Soccer and Formula 1, because I’ve been watching F1 since I was 2 because it was a sport my brother and dad and I used to watch in India, and we spent family time watching it. In terms of soccer, I like Barcelona and Chelsea. Those are my two favorite teams, they’re always fun and interesting to watch and have some really great talent.
HCTX: What’s one of your guilty pleasures?
AK: Watching Law and Order, any of them, but SVU is always one when I go home.
