My roommate and I have created a new tradition this year. Every Tuesday at exactly 7 o’clock, or whenever we get out of our weekly commitments, we turn on the TV and tune into Dancing with the Stars (DWTS). I am not sure if it’s because of the amazing lineup of celebrities cast this season or just because I want to have an excuse to distract myself from doing my homework, but now I cannot bring myself to miss an episode. It is the perfect way to decompress and take a break during long weeks.
Unfortunately for me, there was no new episode during Election week.
As a tribute to what felt like the longest week of my life, here are my top five must-see DWTS dances!
- Len goodman Tribute – waltz
-
Most Memorable Year – Len Goodman Tribute | Dancing with the StarsÂ
This is the most beautiful dance I have ever seen on Dancing with the Stars. And, in my opinion, the best choice for a tribute to Len. It never fails to make me emotional. A classical waltz performed by current and former professional dancers from Dancing with the Stars.
Choreographed by Jenna Johnson and Valentin Chmerkovskiy.
Music: “Moon River” - Alfonso Ribiero & Witney Carson – jazz
-
I remember watching this dance for the first time as a kid. Every time I watch it back, I can’t help but notice that I am constantly smiling. This dance is captivating, fun, and memorable. Alfonso is DWTS gold!
Choreographed by Witney Carson.
Music: “It’s not unusual” – Tom Jones - Charli Damelio & Mark Ballas – Viennese waltz
-
A beautiful and clean waltz through and through. Charli graced the stage every week, but something about this dance always stuck with me.
Choreographed by Mark Ballas.
Music: “Glimpse of Us” - Jordan Fisher & Lindsay Arnold – Freestyle
-
Jordan and Lindsay made pure magic happen on the dance floor. I constantly find myself going back to watch their dances, they were so entertaining to watch!
Choreographed by Lindsay Arnold.
Music: “Puttin’ on the Ritz 2017 (Jazzy Radio Mix)” - Jason mraz & daniella karagach – Freestyle
-
I was so surprised by Jason’s dance ability but in the best way possible. Every time I watched him perform I fell in love with his facials and theatrics more and more. This is one of those dances that will remain a classic in my book.
Choreographed by Daniella Karagach.
Music: “Happy” by C2C ft. Derek Martin
