Summer is finally happening for us Longhorns! Sure, next week is finals… but we would be lying if we said we weren’t already packing our bags for the beach! Here are four different swimsuit types for the different adventures you might be taking this season.
In it for the swim
If you are a tried and true swimmer and beach vacations are more than just tanning sessions for you, that’s definitely something to take into consideration when buying your new swimsuit for the summer. For all you fish with legs out there, consider buying a one piece with straps. Having something that is going to securely stay in place for your laps through the waves is super important! You can still keep it fun and flirty with an open back like this one from American Eagle.
It’s all for the tan
One of the best parts of summer is getting some more color into your skin. (Don’t forget to still use sunscreen though!) One thing to think about while purchasing a bathing suit if you are looking for a tan is the shape of the suit. We’ve all had those weird tan lines from that one strappy bathing suit before. For tanning purposes, try and bandeau style bikini. There are no straps so no tan lines on your shoulders! Try one like this one from Victoria’s Secret.
It’s festival time, baby!
Summer means festivals galore and since the heat is unforgiving at times, consider wearing a swimsuit top as part of your outfit! Try a fun and flowy style that looks like it could pass as a top but you will not be afraid to pour a water bottle all over yourself when you’re a few hours into the hot summer day! This one from Pac Sun is super girly and sure to look good with some high-waisted shorts.
Don’t forget the cover-up!
During your swimsuit shopping frenzy, don’t forget to pick up a cute cover-up that can take you from the beach to fun luau party that night! Try a cute dress option that still shows a hint of your bikini for a nice mix of dressing up and keeping comfy. This one from ASOS is the perfect strappy number to go with your beachy hair waves.
