Why?John Harris: My passion is travel to the continent of Africa and visit every country because as an African American man I feel it is important to see where my roots started. Also, Africa is rich in culture and has great scenery.HCTX: What is your dream job? Would you be doing that in the place you said you’d want to visit?JH: My dream job is to be an orthopedic surgeon. Yes, my dream is to build a few hospitals in an area in Africa that most needs them and provide health to that area and the surrounding areas.
HCTX: Who would you take with you to this place? Or would you prefer to travel solo?
JH: I would bring a team of physicians and nurses that had the same passion as myself that would love to take part in this opportunity.
HCTX: If you could only take 3 things with you, what would you take?
JH: I would bring with me medicines, clothes, and water.
HCTX: If you could only bring back 1 thing, what would you bring?
JH: A picture to remember my accomplishments.
