To celebrate Black History Month, Bath & Body Works is promoting perfumer Michael R. Carby. I purchased the Capsule Collection, and here is my ranking of the fragrances:

Eucalyptus rain

If you are a mint girly like me, you NEED to give this new scent a try! My favorite scent from Bath & Body Works is Eucalyptus Spearmint, which is meant to provide stress-relief. Very much needed in a college environment! I was hesitant to give this one a try as it was missing that minty note, but it is one of my new favorites! It has a very fresh and clean smell, that is present without being overpowering.

cactus blossom

This scent is meant to smell like a tropical oasis. And it does! You may be stuck in school now, but with this scent it will feel like you’re on vacation! Even though you’re in your dorm room doing schoolwork…

beach weather

This candle was created by Carby in honor of his Caribbean heritage. I love this, because my dad is from the island Dominica. Shout out to all my fellow Caribbean girlies out there! If you’re longing for the beach, and summer vacation, usher it in with this tropical, summery scent!

sun-washed citrus

One of my favorite things to get from Caribbean restaurants is passion fruit juice. As soon as I opened this candle to take a whiff, it took me back! This is a great scent for you if you love citrusy, fruity smells, that don’t remind you of cleaning products.

This capsule collection may only be available for a little while longer in its cute, coordinated packaging but these scents will be there year-round! So whether you are able to get your hands on them now or later, give these Caribbean-inspired scents a chance. Because really, we should be supporting Black creators all year long, not just in February.
