3 Must-have Fall Lip Colours for All Skin Tones

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Toronto MU chapter.

Fall is finally here! It’s time to break out the sweaters, blanket scarves and ankle boots. One of my favourite things about this season is the makeup that comes with it, especially the beautiful lip colours. It’s time to switch from those pink and coral summer shades to some bronze and burgundy fall hues. Let’s make that transition from summer to fall a little more interesting. Here are three lip colours with varying prices to help you elevate your makeup this fall:

Drugstore: Maybelline Lifter Gloss in the shade “Topaz”

This gloss by Maybelline adds a perfect sheen to your lips while also making them look fuller. According to Maybelline’s website, it’s made with hyaluronic acid, which means it’ll leave your lips feeling hydrated all day. This product looks great on its own and equally as nice layered on top of an existing lip colour. You can grab this gloss at Shoppers Drug Mart locations for $11.99.

Mid-range: Morphe Liquid Lipstick in the shade “Mood”

For those who love a dramatic berry lip, this one’s for you. This liquid lipstick is bold, bright and definitely a statement. It dries down to a “velvety, matte finish” as the website describes and won’t transfer onto your coffee cup while you’re drinking a pumpkin spice latte. Pair it with a neutral eye look and a natural highlight, and you’re good to go. You can find this liquid lipstick on Morphe’s website for $13.50.

High-end: Huda Beauty Power Bullet Matte Lipstick in the shade “Board Meeting”

It wouldn’t be a makeup article without mentioning Huda Beauty! Although the Power Bullet line has a huge shade range, the lipstick in shade “Board Meeting” is a warm and subtle brown shade that will compliment any fall makeup look. The shade is defined as “spiced cinnamon Mocha” on Sephora’s website and if that doesn’t describe fall, I don’t know what will. It’s a bit on the pricier side but if you want to treat yourself, you can pick up this lipstick at Sephora’s website for $33.
