5 Spring Fashion Trends You Need To Try!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Towson chapter.

This spring, it’s all about making a statement. Whether you dress up everyday casuals for class or get pretty to rock the weekend, you’ll be on the fashionable side when following these five runway inspired trends:

Color Blocking

Bright and bold colors are this season’s must have trend! Cheerful, solid color pieces will turn your regular outfits into a burst of spring fun. A quick style tip: Stick to three colors max, or that fashionable statement you’re aiming for will be remembered as a fashion faux pa!

Bold Multi-prints

Weather it’s floral, geometric or futuristic prints, the key to wearing this trend is being on the (super) bold side. Don’t shy away from this trend just ‘cause you have never worn an eccentric outfit before. Once you get used to all the attention (and compliments), you won’t be able to imagine life (or your closet) without it!

Color of Spring: Tangerine Tango

One quick look at spring’s runway showed there’s a lot of citrus fruit inspired designs out there. Tangerine and orange colored pieces covered the models and turned the fashion tents into tropical festivals. Is the trend wearable? Absolutely!

Pastel Shades

Let’s be honest: has there ever been a season without opposite trends? While bold prints dominated this spring’s shows, lady-like pastel hues appeared almost simultaneously on the runways. Get the look and check off the pastel trend from your fashionable to-buy list!

Peplum Anything

Skirts, dresses and tops were inspired by this season’s most flattering shape: the peplum silhouette! A short, flared ruffle at the waist adds instant glam and flatters most body shapes. Top it off with heels and a statement clutch and you’re good to go!
