“I’m not a regular RA, I’m a COOOOOOOL RA”
Meet Taylor Jones! She is an RA in Carroll hall. She is currently a junior, double majoring in Psychology and Criminal Justice.
What do you do?
I’m a Resident Assistant (RA) in Carroll Hall.
When did you start doing it?
I first became an RA in Spring 2016.
What sparked your interest in this activity?
I love helping people and being a guide but the free room and board doesn’t hurt.
How can someone else get involved with this?
Apply to be an RA in Spring 2017!
What tips do you have for people who want to do what you do?
You get what you give; the more effort you put in, the more rewarding it is.
How has this created connections for you personally and academically?
Personally: I’ve made lots of friends through this.
Academically: It has made me more motivated to keep my grades up and be a good role model for my residents.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I will have a job, a dog, and hopefully a husband.
What do you want people to take away from this interview?
Not all RA’s suck.
Thank you Taylor! HCXO!
