This week’s campus cutie is Jane Greis! Jane is an incredible human being and I am honored to have her as my sister (biologically) and as my best friend. I am so beyond proud of her for everything that she does and has accomplished and everything that she will do in the future.
What year are you?
I’m a sophomore graduating in Spring of 2019.
What is your major?
Double major in Anthropology and International Studies with a foreign language concentration in German.
Hometown?
Crofton, MD
Are you single or taken?
I am happily single.
Are you involved in any clubs or organizations?
What am I not involved in? I’m a writer, editor, and the events director for Her Campus. I’m a founder and the historian for Delta Phi Epsilon’s Phi Phi chapter. I also have two jobs on campus: 1) I work at the box office in the Center for the Arts 2) I am a CCA for the Department of Housing and Residence Life for Tower A. I’m also on my sorority’s intramural flag football team.
What is your favorite place to eat on campus?
Probably P-tux. I get the pasta a lot…like A LOT.
What’s your favorite place to hang out on campus?
I really like doing homework either somewhere quiet in the Liberal Arts building or on the second floor of the library. That’s where you can usually find me. When it’s nice out, I sit out in Freedom Square and work on writing.
What’s your favorite movie?
Seriously? The Shawshank Redemption. Honestly? She’s the Man.
What’s your favorite TV show?
Game of Thrones, New Girl, How I Met Your Mother, That 70’s Show, and Orange is the New Black. I take TV shows seriously.
What’s your favorite music genre?
Indie or alternative. Current favorite band is Catfish and the Bottlemen.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to work on my photography, work on my writing, and read. I really like going rock climbing over at Earth Treks in Timonium. I also like to eat and sleep as much as possible.
What do you like to do on the weekends?
I like to go out, but I also work a lot. I’m usually volunteering on the weekends, so I don’t have much free time to do fun things.
What are your life goals?
Wait, wait. I have this typed up on my phone. It’s a really long list. Ready?
- To see every corner of the world that I possibly can
- To experience cultures completely unlike my own
- To have found blissful happiness to remind myself that even the saddest times don’t last long
- To love myself entirely and abandon the fear that I’m not good enough
- To continue to do spontaneous things that constantly challenge my body and mind
- To have a French bulldog puppy at some point in time because they’re cute as hell
- To give back to the world and use my skills in a constructive way so my life is a positive influence on someone else
- To consistently make my family proud
- To have truly and miraculously lived a life that is a story worth telling.
Thanks for reading, Collegiettes!
