Outfits/Inspiration

It’s easy to pick out single items of clothing, but I find it hard to put an outfit together. Here are a few of my favorite outfits to rock during the summer that are PERFECT for an outdoor concert. The key to an outfit for a summer concert is compiled of a few qualities. 1. Comfort. 2. Breathability. 3. Layers. 4. Possibility of damage. 5. Summer Items. When you’re at a concert, you want to make sure you’re comfortable but also effortlessly cute. There’s a possibility your clothes might get dirty, so you have to remember that. I know layers are usually reserved for winter, but some festivals begin early in the morning and run late into the night, so layers will keep you warm after the sun has set. The main point, of course, is to make sure your outfit screams summer. We only have a few months of the season, so take every day to your advantage! Hopefully these outfits inspire you for any show you have planned for the summer.

I love these outfits because they are simple. They do show off a lot of skin, beware, but to me, symbolize what summer festivals are all about. The high-waisted shorts and cropped top are simple. The lace top does cover the shorts, but is lightweight, perfect for an all day affair.

This outfit has southwestern elements, but those can be easily changed. I like the simplicity of high-waisted shorts, a simple tee, and ankle booties. It’s cute and comfortable and doesn’t show you’re trying too hard. Jazz it up with acessories like a hair turban headband, bangles, and rings.

Not everyone is comfortable in a skirt, but if you are, take advantage of this style. A banded skirt with a loud print looks amazing with a simple tank and jean vest overtop. The main item may be the skirt, but the vest adds to it, giving a cropped look.

I know what you’re thinking, this looks like too much, but its really now. Long maxi skirts are in style, but with this lightweight patterened skirt with slits on the sides, or not, it makes your outfit look fancy, with no work at all. You can pair it with a crop top or a simple tank. Dresses may not seem typical for a concert, but a lightweight printed dress shouldn’t be excluded. It’s comfortable and can be topped with so many different acessories.

Hopefully this article brings inspiration for you to take any of these looks and adapt them to your personal style. Remember, summer concerts and festivals are for fun, the heat may be a factor, but when your outfit rocks, no one will be able to keep their eyes off you! Enjoy the warm weather, music, surroundings, and time off! It’s summer, make your own memories and have fun!

All outfits come from Pacsun, Urban Outfitters, Brandy Melville, Gypsy Warrior, Nasty Gal, and Aritzia.
