Look HOT for Tigerfest, Follow This Eye-Makeup Tutorial

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Towson chapter.

Here’s a fun look to wear while you’re having a blast rocking out to Kid Cudi at Tigerfest! You can mix this look up and use any colors you want. I chose these colors to match my shirt, and because they’re exciting and vibrant.

Let’s break it down!

Step 1) Apply an eyeshadow primer and dust eyelids with face powder.

Step 2) Apply a light green shadow on the inner corners of your eyes.

Step 3) Apply a yellow shadow from the edge of the green to three fourths of the way across your eye.

Step 4) Apply a peachy orange to the outer section of your eyelid. Blend between each of the three colors on your lid, so the colors seem to transition and aren’t separated by harsh lines.

Step 5) Mix a tiny bit of water with an orange eyeshadow together on the outside of your hand. Apply with an angled eyeliner brush along the top of your eye. Do the same under your bottom eyelashes. Take the line a little bit past your eye and angle it out. Make sure you connect the orange lines on top with the bottom lashlines.

Step 6) Apply black liner (I used liquid liner) on your top eyelid, and angled out just like the orange. Try to leave some of the orange from the previous step peeking through. Line your lower inner rim of your eye with black pencil, DON’T use liquid liner on the inside of your eye.

Step 7) Apply a white eyeshadow on your brow bone and in the inner corners of your eyes. I used a white eyeliner pencil for the inside of the eye. Apply a light brown in your crease to make the look more wearable. Curl your lashes and top the look off with a couple coats of mascara. Apply falsies if you’d like.

Keep the rest of your look natural. Don’t wear too much blush (if you choose to wear any at all), and stick to your natural lip color. A little gloss that isn’t too bright should be okay.

After the last step

What I used: Coastal Scents 88 color eyeshadow pallette

I’ve had this palette for about five years now. It has every bright color (and some nice browns) you could ever need, and they are all very pigmented. It’s a great buy for under $20.
