The Playlist For When Finals Week Goes Wrong

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Towson chapter.

Everyone has a studying playlist, but what about a playlist for the process of enduring finals week? We made one for you. Check it out in story format below!

It’s the last day of classes,

Which means that finals start tomorrow.

It seemed like finals week was so far away.

You go to the library for the first time since midterms to study. (It’s been a while.)

You find a study space and get out all of your books. You’re ready to go.

Until you realize you know absolutely nothing.

You’re going to have to stay up all night.

You’re determined to go the distance.

A few hours pass and you have no idea what the hell you’re reading anymore.

Everything is moving too fast

And it happens…the first mental breakdown of finals week.

You convince yourself that it doesn’t even matter.

You’ve accepted that you’re doomed to fail.

But you would never give it up.

And, you made it through your all-nighter without falling asleep.

But this means that your first final is in two hours…

You get into the classroom and pray that you studied enough.

Your professor starts passing out the exams.

It’s going well, until you get to that first short answer question.

Somehow, you survive your first final.

You think, “I deserve a quick Netflix study break”…even though you still have so much studying to do.

But you lose track of time and need to recover…fast.

You’ve got to make up for lost time, and start studying again.

You’re running on caffeine, snack food, and three hours of sleep.

Your friends invite you out, but you really need to study.

You’re almost done with finals now.

You’re exhausted, but you need to stay awake and keep studying.

You breeze through your last exams.

And start your summer break!
