I have long ago accepted that with Towson there comes construction. I have tolerated the constant presence of cranes and bulldozers but I will not sit back quietly and allow this construction to make my walk to the better food on campus even longer.
I have heard rumors that the new construction of Burdick would result in the closing for the West Village Bridge, but this week it finally happened and I am not happy.
Why would they open a new bridge, let us experience the bliss of a short walk, only to close it down the next year? I would understand if it was a temporary thing but they say it will be closed for the next two years!
What about the WVers that have 8:00 a.m.’s? They will have to wake up even earlier to get to class on time.
What about the upperclassmen who won’t be around to enjoy the new gym, as an award for their suffering?
I know that I will walk the extra distance for Jamba Juice and Einstein’s but I will not be happy that a perfectly functioning bridge that makes my walk shorter and in ways safer, is closed for yet another Towson construction project.
