With a big game this Friday, we thought we would highlight a freshman who has been integral in Trin’s hockey season this year!
Sean Orlando
Class year: 2017
Major: Economics
Hometown: Ivyland, Pennsylvania
Best and worst part about being a freshman?
Best part is knowing I have four more years here and the worst part is telling an older girl that I’m a freshman.
How would you describe living in North so far this year?
It has been a roller coaster for sure, not knowing whether you’ll be missing a sink after a weekend is always great. The neighbors across the hall have really made the dorm life interesting.
What’s your favorite…
Place to eat on campus?
Bistro, hands down.
Upper or lower long walk?
Upper long walk because you get to see everybody.
Place to study?
I’m a big fan of the Williams Library at the end of the Long Walk.
Memory from this year so far?
Opening weekend v. Conn and Tufts
How has hockey shaped your freshman year?
It has been a big part of my time here, some of the upperclassmen like Will Gray, Jack Brewer, Conor Coveney, Mike Flynn, Drew Tallett (Ol’ Faithful) and many others have helped my transition become very smooth. They teach me a few tricks on and off the ice.
What are your feelings on the season ending next week?
Only the regular season ends next week, our season is just heating up now.
What are you most excited to do when you don’t have practice?
I’m excited to have more free time and relax.
What is your ideal date?
An ideal date would be a day on any beach, can’t go wrong with a beach day.
What are the most attractive qualities you look for in a girl?
She’s gotta be funny and lively. Some physical attributes I look for are a girl’s eyes and smile.
