Name: Shannon Kennedy
Hometown: Hartford, CT
Class year: 2019
Major: Music & Psychology
Campus Activities: Varsity Women’s Soccer, Quirks A Cappella, Spring Musical
Relationship Status: What rhymes with pringle?
Dream job: To be Beyonce or an actress on Broadway
Favorite study spot: Austin Arts! (But don’t tell people, I like it quiet)
Dream man: You don’t have enough space, haha.. Just a beautiful man over the height of 6”2’, is really funny, intelligent, up for multiple hours consciousness type of woke, wants children, caring, probably on the quiet side because I talk a lot, understanding, patient, meticulous, and science-y because I’m not good at that. But someone who like completes me but also lifts me up and understands that I’m the bomb.edu. AND passionate!
Favorite movie: The Shawshank Redemption
Fave pizza flavor: White pie!
Peter B’s order: Who’s Peter B? I go to the Underground.
Underground order*: The Piña Colada Smoothing
Best friends: You know who you are ;)
Favorite Hartford restaurant: Tisane’s
On a Saturday morning you are…: Sleeping, if I have no other obligations.
Favorite season: Spring!
If you could trade places with one person for a day, who would it be?: Beyonce— to see if I’m really “bout dat life”.
Fun fact about yourself: If you ever see me walking around campus with a scarf, it’s not a scarf, it’s a blankie and I’ve had it since I was six months old and I’m never giving it up. EVER.
*is holding blankie*
Things you can talk about all day long: Isms (Racism, sexism, etc), beauty standards, life? Honestly I could talk about anything. I could talk to a cactus and we’d have a great conversation.
Whats your favorite color and why: Orange because it’s the middle child of all color. It’s obnoxious, beautiful, and misunderstood just like me and I’m also a middle child.
Ideal Date: I’ve never been on one BUT what I think would be really cool would be somewhere not awkward and somewhere where we could talk and if you’re blessed with a second date, you’d have to make sure it’s fun af like ice skating! And they’d have to buy me food because if they can’t watch me eat (I’m a really messy eater) then, they can’t be with me.
How do you feel about this semester: It’s probably the best semester so far and I’m the happiest I’ve been all semester even though I’m the busiest I’ve ever been. Spring semester is always better than fall semester.
Best piece of advice: Learn to love yourself, the rest will fall into place. I’d say to let the chips fall where they may but I’d probably eat the chip as it was falling.
