1. Trick Turning
Students used to be able to swipe in at Hodgdon, load up on snacks to stash in their dorms, and then use their meal swipe again at Dewick. Unfortunately, the administration caught on to this, so free snacks from Hodg are no longer a thing.
2. The Joey
The Tufts University shuttle bus used to be run by a company called Joseph’s, which led to the bus being called the Joey. Unfortunately the bus company has changed this year and the cute nickname is no longer here. For some of us, though, it will always be the Joey.
3. Sig Nu
We had a pretty awesome fraternity, Sigma Nu, located right next to Kappa Alpha Theta. They built an impressive igloo and even gave out snacks at their parties. Due to an unfortunate turn of events, however, Sigma Nu is no more.
4. AEPi
What we all know as Pi Delta was not always so; the brothers were originally part of AEPi. However, they had some disagreements with Nationals and decided to split from AEPi and create their own fraternity.
5. Life without the late night Commons
During the fall of 2014, the Commons was under construction and we lived without late night dining. It’s safe to say that Helen’s and Domino’s definitely increased their business during this time.
6. Snowpocalypse of 2015
The winter of 2015 brought with it copious amounts of snow days consisting of missed classes and sledding on the hill. There were even nights when we were advised not to leave our dorms due to the weather.
7. The Glitter
Kesha came and students decked themselves out in glitter that would stay on campus for ages, so who knows – maybe the class of 2020 will still get a peek at this one!
8. iSIS
Before it was changed to SIS, our Student Information System was called iSIS. For obvious reasons, this had to change.
