Chutoro (medium fatty tuna belly) sushi at Sushidai in Tsukiji freshmarket; it was hands down the best sushi I’ve had in my life.
On a sunny day, my friends and I took a trip to Asakusa and went to see the newly built 2,080ft Tokyo Skytree, Though it is sad to see local traditional businesses in the area suffering, it is also a symbol of how Japan’s unyielding strength post 3/11.

My fellow interns and I took the trip to Studio Ghibli Museum. The robot from Castle in the Sky was one of the many awesome highlights.
This was a green tea parfait with azuki (red beans) from a Nana’s Green Tea branch in my neighborhood. The neighborhood I lived in, Jiyugaoka, was a paradise for people with sweet tooth.
