The piercing sound of an alarm clock to begin a day of classes and homework doesn’t echo the buzzing enthusiasm for summer that’s beginning around campus. So, drone out the high-pitched thrill and stride outside in some of your favorite, easy to assemble outfits.
This week, I stayed in my comfort zone with a dark-plaid boyfriend shirtdress and patterned black tights. Although the outfit isn’t “Spring-y,” this week’s weather is chillier than when we left for break; bright colors and shorts wouldn’t really match the grey days New England has presented, especially when the thermometer is barely breaking 60 degrees.
But, to add a teensy bit of glitter to the gloom, I tried a quisi-Cupcakes and Cashmere inspired manicure. With Essie Devil’s Advocate as a base coat, I accented each ring finger nail with a blue glitter from Stila for UO Nail Polish. It’s a collegiate twist on a 5-year-old birthday party trend.
