Tips to Cover Up Under-Eye Circles

1) Use a Salmon or Yellow-Tinted Concealer

Opposite colors even each other out, so an orange or yellow-toned concealer – typically advertised as “corrector concealers” – can help counteract dark purple coloring under your eyes. Use these products to fight heavy-duty circles. Don’t forget to use your fingers or a puffy eye brush to blend the color for a flawless finish, and always top your concealer off with a light layer of powder to ensure that it lasts all day!

 

2) Keep Your Under-Eye Area Moisturized

The skin under your eyes can easily become dry and flaky, and using makeup remover daily can strip the natural oils from your skin. While heavy-duty concealer and powder will cover up dark circles, they will also emphasize these dry patches of skin. So, for a flawless finish that will make your makeup look more natural, use a gentle eye cream or layer on a little bit of extra facial moisturizer under your eyes. 

3) Brighten

 

Highlighting products have light-reflecting particles that can help bring more light to the dark shadows beneath your eyes. These products often come as pens, so they’re easy to just swipe on quickly right before going out. (If you want a matte option, using a shade of concealer that is slightly lighter than your face will have the same effect). 

 

Tip: Use the “triangle” method for best results. Concealing this area will lighten natural shadows, as well.

4) Natural Remedies

In addition to store-bought products, there are also some easy natural remedies to decrease puffiness and dark circles under your eyes. The simplest solution is to get enough Washing your face with cold water will help decrease puffiness, too. And remember to drink plenty of water, and avoid eating salty, greasy food at night.
