If you didn’t already know, New Orleans takes Halloween very seriously. From Frenchmen Street to City Park, the city hosts a wide range of events all #NOLAween weekend. Here are the raucous Halloween celebrations you can look forward to this year:
1. Frenchmen Street
On Monday night, everyone who’s anyone will flood the streets of Frenchmen for some All Hallows Eve fun. Ghouls and fools welcomed.

2. Jazz Half Marathon and 5K
For the more athletic types, the Jazz Half Marathon and 5K is being held on Saturday morning at 7am. Both races start at Lafayette Square and also benefit The Cancer Program at The Children’s Hospital. Start off your Halloween weekend the right way with a little exercise and philanthropy.
3. Voodoo Music + Arts Experience
Held in New Orleans’ City Park, Voodoo Fest spans from Friday, October 28th to Sunday, October 30th. With artists such as Kevin Gates, G-Eazy, Arcade Fire and the Chainsmokers, this event is not one to be missed. If you don’t want to go for all three days, look into buying a single day pass or the #spooky after party concerts hosted at venues such as the House of Blues.
4. Galactic
This infamous band plays their already sold out show on Saturday night at Tip’s. If you were luck enough to buy tickets to this Halloween tradition, doors open at 10pm so make sure to get there early for prime seating.
5. Tulane Homecoming
Unclear as to who thought it was a good idea to host our homecoming game the Saturday of NOLAween; however, since it’s Tulane’s homecoming, the festivies are sure to compete with everything else going on in the city. There will be a homecoming carnival (pictured), in addition to tailgates and specials at the Boot. The Wave plays SMU at 3pm on Saturday. Tailgates open at 11am so make sure to get your brunch in before the quads fill up. Also, don’t forget to get your football tickets this week!!
