College can be hard, life can be hard, life in college can be REALLY hard. Sometimes it all gets just a little overwhelming, so I’m here to help with 8 probably scientific ways to definitely feel better about your impending doom.

1. Treat yourself to a clay, or better yet a sheet mask. Not only will your skin feel rejuvenated after, you can spend the 15 minutes of masking sending hilarious and scary Snapchats to your friends. Or perhaps try this bubbly mask and give your friends nightmares for the rest of eternity.

2. Binge watch Gilmore Girls for the seventh time as you complain about not having enough hours in the day to finish your endless homework.

3. Do some yoga, or put your yoga mat on the floor and lie down and cry on it. Child’s pose is great for a good cry.

4. Get in a good workout- I suggest walking halfway to Reily then turning around because you remembered you’d rather look like the Michelin Man than fight the crowd for a good elliptical.

5. FaceTime your mom and violently sob, but then laugh instead because your siblings are doing weird things in the background.

6. Take a hot shower. Enjoy it until you realize some invasive species of plant is growing through your bathroom window, begin to question what other forms of life can enter your home through the clearly unsecure window. Panic.

7. Eat everything in your kitchen.

8. Close your textbooks even if you haven’t finished your homework because your sanity is more important. Watch a movie that makes you smile. Go to bed at 9pm. Blow off plans. Make spontaneous late night plans. Just do something that makes you happy. Remember that today is only one day and it’s okay if you cry a lot because life is beautiful and it goes on.
