In just a few short weeks, “The Bachelor” returns for its 23rdseason. A vast majority of viewers were disappointed by the choice of Colton Underwood as this season’s bachelor after his flaky relationship with Tia on this past summer’s season of Bachelor in Paradise. Only time will tell if he can commit this time around. In the meantime, I analyzed some of the standout bachelorettes after they were recently announced. So, pour yourself a glass of rosé, and get ready for another dramatic season of The Bachelor. Here are my predictions for this season, based on the bios of the cast and my years of experience in Bachelor Nation:
Cassie is a 23-year-old speech pathologist from Huntington Beach, California. I think that she would be a great match for Colton, because they both enjoy working with kids. Cassie works with kids through her job, and Colton visits kids with cystic fibrosis in hospitals for his charity, which raises money to support people living with the disease.
Caelynn and Hannah B. are both 23 years old, and are Miss North Carolina and Miss Alabama, respectively. As beauty queens, they have a big leg up on the other bachelorettes because of their experience with being in front of a crowd. Could their poise could impress Colton enough for him to keep them around?
Sydney is an NBA dancer from NYC, and she is 27 years old. As an employee of a professional sports team, she could definitely relate to Colton, who used to play football for the Chargers and the Raiders. Their kids could be very athletic!
Heather is 22, and hails from Carlsbad, California. Her job title is “Never Been Kissed.” This one is a given, since the franchise has given a lot of attention to the fact that Colton is a virgin. Though I don’t know how much chemistry Heather and Colton will have, I’m sure she’ll stick around for a while, so they can explore the possibility of experiencing some firsts together.
Jane is a 26-year-old West Hollywood native, and she is a social worker. I put her on this list not because of her bio, but because of her resemblance to his ex Becca, who Colton was dumped by after hometown dates on her season of the Bachelorette. If he has a type, I can see her making it far on the show.
Now sit back and relax until January 7th, when the most dramatic season ever of “The Bachelor” premieres. Check back here in a couple months to see if my predictions were correct.
