Tired of hitting the snooze button? Here are some tips to help you get out of bed earlier!
- I like to set my alarm to about five minutes before I get out of bed. Doing this will allow your body to gradually wake up. I listen to some music to wake up my brain and motivate myself to get out of bed.
- Make your bed. You feel productive in accomplishing something, plus it prevents you from going back in.
- Eat breakfast. The only thing that can get me out of my warm and cozy bed is food. Whether it be a quick granola bar or scrambled eggs at The Commons, energizing your body is a must!
- Go to sleep and wake up at the same times on the weekdays and the weekend. Your body will accustom to the schedule, so waking up on the weekdays will not feel all that different compared to Saturday morning.
- Try shutting down all electronic devices at least 30 minutes to an hour before sleeping. I like to read a book or write in a journal before sleeping, putting my mind at ease.
- Think of something you are looking forward to that day. It could be as simple as food or seeing your friends!
Hopefully, some of these tips will help and maybe you’ll show up to class early!
