So it’s finals week and everyone’s exhausted and wanting to blow off some steam. For me, I’ll take this in two ways- either you make yourself a delicious milkshake and relax, or you can make some brain food and eat something that’ll help you focus and think straighter (or more linearly, whatever it is you choose).
Any who, everyone knows that thin mints are by far the most delicious girl scount cookies (and no, I don’t care if you disagree, they’re still the best) and so enjoy the first recipe for a relaxing evening and the second for a brain booster!
Boozy Thin Mint Milkshake:
Ironically, I found the lucky number 7 to be the perfect number of cookies for this milkshake. More is always welcome, but I wouldn’t recommend less.
I’m including green food coloring here as an option, but I didn’t find it necessary–the shake had a pretty, mint green color that didn’t show up as vibrantly in the above photo.
If you’re a teetotaler or a small child, replace the creme de menthe with a splash of milk, a bit of peppermint extract and a few drops of green food coloring.
Makes 1
4 scoops vanilla ice cream (about 1 generous cup)
3-4 tablespoons creme de menthe
7 Girl Scout Thin Mint cookies
Green food coloring, optional
Toss all ingredients into a blender. Blend thoroughly. Add a drop or two of green food coloring if you wish. Serve immediately. You’re welcome.
Kudos.
