Is anyone else in as much disbelief as I am that it is now time for Spring Break?! Compared to last semester, these past couple of months have flown by. Of course, over Spring Break I have summer study abroad applications to fill out and a paper to write, but nonetheless I am going to make it an absolute priority to have fun this break! Enjoy these 5 songs I picked out this week especially for you, collegiates!
1. Teleport 2 Me, Jamie – WZRD
I know what you’re thinking, “Who the h*** is WZRD?” Well, I am VERY pleased to announce that yes, ladiesand gentlemen, KID CUDI IS BACK! Kid Cudi and Dot Da Genius (from the single “Day n’ Nite”) paired up and formed WZRD, and just released their new album last week. Get a taste of this amazing album by listening to “Teleport 2 Me, Jamie.” Words cannot describe how great this duo is together and how fantastic their songs turned out.
2. Talk That Talk (feat. Jay-Z) – Rihanna
I love Rihanna simply because she has made such an impact on the music industry with her style and attitude. Â What out for her this May when she appears in her first movie, Battleship!
3. Sail – AWOLNATION
AWOLNATION is an alternative rock band that will be featured in Coachella this year. IÂ
remember when I first heard this song last summer I was instantly put off, but after about 30 seconds, I was totally sucked into this song’s power. What drew me in was how unique this song is; give it a chance and you’ll like it too!
4. If It’s Love – Train
I listened to this song in 2010, but completely forgot about it until I stumbled
upon it a few days ago. “If It’s Love” is definitely oneof those cutesy upbeat love songs that you can’t help but like. Plus, Train is such an amazing group with a new album in the works! Be on the lookout.
5.Walk Away (feat. B.o.B.) – The Script
I am sure by now you have all heard of The Script. The Script is consistentÂ
with their style, so it was really cool to see them incorporate B.o.B. into “Walk Away.” This song was featured on their second album released last year and has become one of my favorites produced by this group.
