Everyone knows that one of the most delicious things in the world is pesto. It would be a divine sin if you didn’t enjoy the fresh herbs with delectable cheese and that dash of olive oil.

Ever since I had the pesto pasta at Fresco’s, I’ve been addicted to the stuff, trying to not only make my own, but to have an easier solution than trekking to Whole Foods and spending far too much on a small jar of pesto (not to say it wouldn’t be worth it). Truthfully, it’s really easy to make and goes well on bread, pasta, sandwiches, and pretty much life. So here’s an easy recipe to make your own fresh pesto!
Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • dash of lemon juice

Directions:
In a food processor, blend together basil leaves, nuts, garlic, and cheese. Pour in oil and lemon juice slowly while still mixing. Stir in salt and pepper.Note: feel free to alter anything to taste!
