Get Your Style On: Ann Taylor Event at Water Tower

On November 30, the Ann Taylor at Water Tower Place will be having an exclusive in-store event for UChicago students. Come out to the store from 6 to 8:30 pm for an unforgettable evening downtown.

The Ann Taylor campus representatives, Mahlet Yared and Ezgi Cubukcu, are hosting this great event for all UChicago girls to enjoy. The event will begin with a few keynote speakers who will provide advice on work related issues many women face every day.

“There will be women speaking from the finance, consulting and marketing fields to talk to students about what it takes for a woman to strive in such a competitive, and often male-dominated, workforce,” explained Yared. This will provide a great opportunity for students to network with the speakers and gain insight about what it is like to work in these various fields.

Along with listening to and networking with the speakers, students will have a chance to win raffle prizes and shop around the store throughout the evening. The Ann Taylor at Water Tower Place has an extremely helpful staff and great selection of clothing. Best of all, our friends at Ann Taylor are giving students a 20% discount on every full-price item when they present their student ID at checkout, not only for this event, but whenever they shop at Ann Taylor.

All students are encouraged to attend and wear whatever they feel most comfortable and confident in. Wearing clothes that are a bit dressier is welcome as well, as it will be a reception-style event and especially if networking with the speakers is of interest. Ann Taylor is striving to create an understanding of the versatility of their clothing and coming to this event will definitely provide a number of examples of their chic and versatile looks.

Transportation will be provided to the event at Water Tower place from campus, but not for the trip back to campus. Since the event ends early in the evening, attending it will also give students a great excuse to enjoy the city afterwards.
