One great way to peacefully resist intolerance is by supporting businesses and other ventures created by minorities or people in marginalized communities.  Here are 5 Latinx businesses that are totally awesome that you can support.

1. Hija de tu Madre

Hija de tu Madre is a clothing shop that specializes in custom jean jackets and is home of the  #VirgencitaJacket . Patty Delgado, the founder, shares that:

Hija de tu Madre celebrates the beautiful mess that is being Latinx. The goal of Hija de tu Madre is to create fashionable statements of identity. I want to create apparel that is the perfect depiction of my cultural intersection. Our clothes provide us with a sense of familiarity, home, and belonging. Hija de tu Madre is a creative outlet that celebrates the complexities of being a product of more than one culture. Thus, Hija de tu Madre caters to Latinx who bravely question everything, while reconciling our complicated history, culture, and identity.”

2.  Loquita Bath and Body

Loquita Bath and Body sells vegan, cruelty-free bath bombs, whipped soap, sugar scrubs and more. Loquita Bath and Body is also the home of the ‘Concha bath bomb‘ which is the delicious intersection of sweet bread and a sweet bath that you didn’t know you needed.

3.  Vive Cosmetics

Vive Cosmetics prides themselves on selling makeup for Latinx people by Latinx people. They are cruelty-free and vegan. Another bonus is that 25 cents of every unit goes to Latinx/WOC causes.

“This brand is made by Latina women for our Latinx community. In co-founding this company, I am not only proving to myself that I can overcome my fears and take risks, but I hope to inspire all of you with the knowledge that you can achieve anything you set your mind to.” Says co-founder Joanna Rosario.  Leslie Valdivia, other co-founder of the company, says “Upon realizing all the opportunities I had to create something really special, something never done before, Vive was born. For me, starting Vive Cosmetics has been a blending of my love for working with the Latinx community and my passion for makeup and all things beauty.”

4.  Blushing Crown Co.

Blushing Crown Co. hand-makes mugs, water bottles and flasks decorated with funny, inspiring and empowering quotes. The founder shares: “I want my mugs to fit just like the shoes you pick for the day. How are you feeling? What do you want to say? Let my mug speak for you!”

5.  The Homegirl Box

The Homegirl Box sells gift boxes inspired by the life and legacy of revolutionary women of color, such as the #FridaBox, #AssataBox, #CardiBox and #AudreBox. Brittany Brathwaite and Mickey Ferrara are the two founders who work from Brooklyn. They pride themselves in being fearless leaders, movement builders and girl activators who have come to love and understand the importance of sisterhood.
