Check out these looks for a little inspiration for your fall wardrobe (After all, we’re going to be covered up in knee-length parkas pretty soon!).
That’s so 70’s!
They say fashion always repeats itself, and this fall is your opportunity to dabble with the disco decade. There are a lot of awesome 70’s accents to try to incorporate into your wardrobe as the temperature starts to drop. Think bell sleeves and bell-bottoms, floppy hats, jean and suede, maxi skirts and shift dresses.Â
Detailing
Fringe accents are a must this season when forming your outfits. It is a popular accent on purses, skirts, and even shoes. Another exciting detail is the touch of fur. You can stay warm and be fashionable simultaneously by simply adding a fur –or faux fur- vest, coat, or collar. This is a perfect way to bring a basic ensemble to the next level.
All Black Everything
You can’t go wrong with black this fall, as it is a classic color that goes with almost anything. When forming head to toe outfits in black, try to focus on the details. Don’t be afraid to layer, add a few accessories to break it up, and play with your lengths. Try a long coat with a black slip dress underneath and black suede ankle boots. Monochromatic looks are a great way to experiment with materials, cuts and shapes, textures, and accents.Â
Oversized sweaters
When done right, oversized sweaters look extremely chic and put together while also shielding you from the cold. Be on the lookout for cut outs in the back, long bohemian sweaters, cable knits, muted colors, and even turtle necks. Tight or loose, you can make them work with boyfriend jeans, skirts, leather pants, or even cozy leggings. The best part is that you can dress them up with simple jewelry such as a watch, rings, and long layered necklaces.Â
Boho
The bohemian style comes off as free-spirited and colorful, and although summer festivals have come to a close, it doesn’t mean you have to leave this look behind now that it is fall. Boho is heavy on patterns, tapestry designs, fringe, flowing shirts, long skirts, floppy hats, and booties. This fall, you will see peasant tops, embellished jackets, maxi tunics or cardigans, and draping duster coats. This is a great way to transition into fall without letting go of those festival vibes.Â
