Meet Jose Delgado, SUBOG Concert Chair
Â
Jose is a junior Business Management major with a focus in entrepreneurship.Â
On top of being an active member of the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity Connecticut chapter, as both Homecoming Chair and Greekweek Chair, he is currently the SUBOG concert chair (April 2015- April 2016).
How long have you been involved with SUBOG?
I have been involved with SUBOG since freshman year, fall 2012.
How did you transition to Concert Chair?
I started freshman year by working security at the concerts, from there I became more involved by co-running the PR, and last year I held the position as the vice chair.
What is your role as the Concert Chair?
As Concert Chair I run our meetings each week, work with the university agent, Harris Goldberg, to contract artists for our dope concerts. I also work with the SUBOG advisors and oversee the committee members to ensure the shows run safely and smoothly.
What is your favorite part of being the Concert Chair?
The best part of being the concert chair is knowing that I had a hand in bringing an amazing show to UCONN.
How does this position correlate with your future career goals?
I want to coordinate big events, such as concerts and shows, in the future or I would like to be a programmer for a university or an agency.
How can others get involved with SUBOG?
Students who want to get involved should check out the involvement fair in the fall or spring and attend committee meetings, which are held everyday for various committees. Like any other club you are involved in, you get in what you put out.
