With exam craziness and the school year wrapping up it’s been hard to think of anything except powering through to the end of the semester. It’s crazy to think that it’s already May and that the summer is right around the corner. If you’re anything like me, I’m sure that you’re equally unprepared for Mother’s Day coming up in a little less than two weeks. As much as I love my mom, I’m usually the last-minute gift giver who didn’t realize the holiday was coming up until the night before. To help my fellow last-minute girls, I’ve compiled some Mother’s Day gifts that will make your mom smile and seem like you’ve been planning them for months.
TOwel warmer
Living in New England, I’m sure we can all agree that getting out of the shower in the winter is a terrible experience. It’s cold, your towel is usually still damp from the shower the night before, and every moment you’re out of the warm water feels like seconds away from frostbite. If you want to spare your mom from this experience, I suggest bringing her a little bit of luxury at home and purchasing her this towel warmer from Amazon. Though it’s a little bit on the expensive side, I know it’s something I’d love to receive and the reviewers seem to love it!
anything anthropologie
Lately, I have been obsessed with all of the Anthropologie home items. All of them are super cute and can range in price from a cheaper mug to a good quality more expensive platter. You really can’t go wrong with anything in their home section. I love this chip and dip platter from their newer summer collection. It’s super pretty, reasonably priced, and I’m sure any mom would love to receive it. Seriously, you can’t go wrong with anything Anthropology home.
monthly subscription
Who doesn’t love a gift that just keeps giving?! I know personally that getting a fun package is my favorite thing ever. Consider getting your mom a monthly subscription box so she can look forward to something each month. I know some of my friends love their IPSY beauty boxes. Is your mom a wine lover? A wine subscription from Splash would surely make you the favorite child. You can never go wrong with a subscription box, and no matter what your mom is into, there’s a subscription box for everyone.
an ~experience~
This one could be great for my fellow girls on your budget. You know when you were younger and your Mother’s Day gift would be a coupon book for your parents promising to do your laundry or walk the dog for them? Think of this, but the adult version. Consider promising to take your mom on a fun beach day, or planning a hike for the two of you to go on together. These experiences will probably mean more to your mom than any gift could, and you’ll be saving money at the same time!
I know it can be stressful trying to find the perfect gift for anyone important to you, but I hope these ideas ease some of that stress. Remember to have fun with it, and when all else fails, it’s the thought that counts!
