The 20 Best Love Songs For Cuffing Season

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Conn chapter.

It’s officially cuffing season! Whether you’re in a relationship or single like me, we can all agree that this romantic time of year needs a soundtrack playing on a loop in the background. Out of my playlist called “Lovey Dovey,” which is 18 hours long with 287 songs, I think 20 of them truly fit the vibe of being in love during these cold months (or maladaptive daydreaming about it).

“I’ll Never Smile Again” — Frank Sinatra & Tommy Dorsey and His Orchestra

If I never slow dance with someone to this song playing on a record in the background, then what’s the point?

“Mind Over Matter (Reprise)” — Young the Giant

The grip this song has on me is actually insane.

“Put a Little Love On Me” — Niall Horan

Niall wrote this song for me.

“Lovers Rock” — TV Girl

Can I please just be a rock star’s girlfriend I’ll never complain about anything again.

“My Kind of Woman” — Mac Demarco

And I’m down on my hands and knees begging to be someone’s kind of woman.

“For the First Time” — Mac Demarco

Another Mac Demarco slay.

“Margaret (feat. Bleachers)” — Lana Del Rey

Because when you know, you know.

“Like Real People Do” — Hozier

The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit Hozier can do no wrong.

“Heart Like Yours” — Andy Coyne

I found this song by accident but it is now the love of my life.

“Something About Your Love” — Mason Jennings

Also found this one by accident but I don’t know who I would be if I didn’t know about this song.

“Yellow” — Coldplay

This song ruined my life in the best way possible.

“Sweet Creature” — Harry Styles

Mr. Styles will be performing this at our wedding when we get married.

“Somethin’ Stupid” — Frank Sinatra & Nancy Sinatra

This is such a cute little bop. I love love!

“Apocalypse” — Cigarettes After Sex

(Or any other Cigarettes After Sex song because they lowkey all sound the same).

“ur so pretty” — Wasia Project

Thank you to Heartstopper for exposing me to this beautiful song.

“We Fell in Love in October” — girl in red

Duh!

“Je Te Laisserai Des Mots” — Patrick Watson

French really is the most romantic language.

“Make You Feel My Love” — Adele

This is the best cover of any song ever.

“Turning Page” — Sleeping at Last

To live out your Bella and Edward fantasy.

“sweater weather” — The Neighbourhood

Another duh!

Hopefully, some of these songs might make it onto your playlists, whether it be for date nights or for laying in bed thinking about the different scenarios you’ve made up (me too).
