Welcome Back to the Big Screen, Jack Nicholson!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Conn chapter.

Last month, rumors swirled that Jack Nicholson was retiring from the big screen.

BUT GOOD NEWS! The legendary actor is finally back after a seven-year hiatus from acting.

Nicholson has been acting for over 60 years and is the most nominated actor of all time with 12 Oscar nominations, 17 Golden Globe nominations, 7 BAFTA nominations, and 1 Grammy nomination.

The 79-year-old legend will star in the remake of the German comedy Toni Erdmann alongside Kristin Wiig. The movie will be produced by Adam McKay and will be the first English-version of the film.

It had worried us a little that Nicholson had not done a film since 2010 and even admitted in 2013 that he prefers to spend his time at home, but our dreams have come true!

While we await his highly-anticipated return to Hollywood, let us take a look at just a few reasons Nicholson is deemed the most nominated actor of all time…
