What’s your favorite part about Iowa City?
The thing I love most about Iowa City is its atmosphere. It has a hometown feel mixed with downtown city life that is both young and lively. I feel as though there is always something to do here, and not to mention, it’s beautiful no matter what time of year!
Since it’s getting chilly here for the fall, what’s you go-to fall outfit?
So far my go-to’s have been ankle booties, either layered with tall socks or worn by themselves, and I absolutely love layering in the fall. This really could be anything from flannels to oversized sweaters to really flowy tops. Another thing I’ve recently been loving is my really large blanket scarf!
Where do you get your love for fashion, and what made you want to start your blog?
My love for fashion has been as long as I can remember. I grew up with a family of mostly all girls so I was constantly watching my older sisters and taking tips from them. As I got older I really got into celebrity street style. I love the off-runway looks that combine comfort and effortless style. It’s something I feel that anyone can incorporate into their own wardrobe. Blogging just sort of came naturally after that. I take a lot of inspiration from other bloggers and young celebrities, and I wanted to do the same through my own fashion and lifestyle creative outlet. Blogging is a way especially for me to see how my style is evolving and growing along with my viewers! Â Â
Where’s your favorite spot to hangout in IC and why?
Currently my favorite spot in IC to hang out is Java House. I love the vibes of coffee shops, and I pretty much always have. I go here all the time, whether it’s just to grab a quick coffee, do homework, or meet up with friends. Java’s particular atmosphere reminds me a lot of a coffee shop I used to go to at home, so I think I just naturally gravitated towards it!
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go, and what celebrity would you take with you?
If I could travel anywhere in the world it would have to be Greece! I have always thought it was absolutely beautiful, and I think it’s somewhere that I really could find a lot of adventure because there is so much to do there. This is probably going to sound clichĂ©, but I would take Kendall Jenner. Not only has her family been there, so she could show me the ropes, but I think she is the most down to earth and closest to my age Kardashian. Not to mention she is one of my style muses!
What’s one thing you want to accomplish before you die?
One thing I would like to accomplish before I die is that I want to be personally successful and happy in my career. I think accomplishing this would be the best thing I can do regardless.
What’s your dream job?
My dream job would be to either work with the coordinators for New York Fashion Week planning the event, or it would have to be the visual display coordinator for a designer in New York!
Favorite IC restaurant?
My favorite IC restaurant would have to be Formosa. I absolutely love sushi, and I love their atmosphere!
Favorite songs or artists at the moment?
I currently have two artists that I’ve been listening to a lot lately. One would be Halsey, and I lover her song “New Americana” or “Colors,” and I’ve also really been loving Chvrches. I can’t really choose a favorite song by them!
When you graduate, what will you miss most about college?
Most likely I will be moving away after I graduate, and I will definitely miss the friends I am lucky enough to call my sisters as well. When you get the chance to live with your best friends and see them every day, it will definitely be tough leaving them. I can say they are the ones who have made my college experience so memorable and have made me appreciate my time here.
