From a Guy’s Perspective: The First Date

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Iowa chapter.

Some first dates can be good or they can be overwhelming for a few. Guys want to leave a lasting impression on their date; while the girl wants to have a reason to go on a second date. There isn’t a perfect ideal first date, any activity can serve as a first date. Being that as a college student you have a pretty busy lifestyle you don’t always have time to go to a movie or have dinner.  So you have to improvise a bit. I think that you should do something that you both are interested in. Go to a concert or go out for a quick bite. No need to over prepare for a first of many dates that you will go on if things go right.  Going to a place where you are most comfortable will benefit the both of you guys; you can both be yourself. I feel too often people go out there way to impress on the first date and the do a lot more harm than good. No one should feel pressured to impress your date, if she choose to go out with you she must see something in you so relax and let your actions do the talking.
