I’ve got a lot of obsessions this month, and yes some of them are Christmas songs, but that’s okay because the holidays are almost here! Keep scrolling!
Imagine– Pentatonix
This cover does complete justice to John Lennon’s original. Also, it’s a capella?! I absolutely love Pentatonix. With every cover I listen to, they manage to blow me away. They’ve all got such unique voices and they all just go together. Also, the video is presented is the loveliest way. There’s a message behind this song, and Pentatonix created a video to make that message even more powerful.
Perfect– Ed Sheeran and Beyonce
As if this song wasn’t “perfect” already. Ed just had to go ahead and make us cry a little more didn’t he? Beyonce sounds absolutely beautiful in this song with Ed. The harmonies fit, and the song is everything we could imagine it to be. Definitely a power duet.
Tell Me You Love Me– Demi Lovato
If you haven’t watched the video, stop what you’re doing and go watch it. Demi looks absolutely flawless for one thing, and also her vocals in this song are just amazing. But then again, when are they not? Demi is one of my favorites, and this song is one of the reasons why.
How Great Thou Art– Pentatonix and Jennifer Hudson
Pentatonix had their Christmas show, and Jennifer Hudson sang a song with them. I don’t even need to say anything. You should be clicking on the link right now. You’re going to get goosebumps. I’ve watched it over ten times and I still manage to get the chills with this collaboration.
Yes, I like Pentatonix a lot, okay? This is a new Christmas cover they released recently. It makes you want to get up and dance with your best Christmas sweater on. I just love the holidays because of these awesome covers and songs that artists put out.
Lights Down Low– Max
This isn’t a new song. It’s always going to be one of my favorites though. It never gets old because this song has meaning, it’s catchy and Max’s voice is just out of this world. If that wasn’t enough to make you want to listen to it, he wrote this for his girlfriend, who is now his wife. The video is basically their wedding, it’s absolutely beautiful.
Palace– Sam Smith
This song’s pretty short, but let’s be real. Sam Smith only needs like three seconds to make us fall in love with his voice. It’s got a nice tune that makes you think of the perfect Christmas romance. I heard this song on one of Apple’s advertisements. Go check it out!
End Game– Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and Future
Loads of people I’ve spoken to about Taylor Swift aren’t a huge fan of her new songs. To be honest, I like it. It’s edgy and she basically doesn’t care about what other people think. This song’s catchy and with Ed Sheeran in the loop, let’s say that this was one of the first songs I listened to from her new album.
Take Back Home Girl– Chris Lane ft. Tori Kelly
Tori Kelly is one of my favorite singers, so I clicked on this faster than you can say YAY. I find it crazy that she manages to sound absolutely flawless every single performance. Also, she sounds exactly the same live, as she does in the studio. This song just shows how perfectly her voice blends in with Chris Lane’s.
Spirits– The Strumbellas
I cannot express how much I’m in love with this song. It’s been on repeat for the whole month, and it might even be on my list of my all time favorites. I especially love the bridge of this song, and it’s got such a nice meaning behind it. Absolutely love this one.
