1. Lose weight
After watching the Victoria’s Secret annual fashion show in early December followed by endless homemade holiday meals, you’ve decided that it’s time to get into shape. New year, new me, right? You go through your kitchen and throw out all of the tempting snack foods and plan your workout routine. You’re super motivated for about two weeks, but then the late night food runs start making a come back and you can’t resist the mid study snacking.
2. Eat healthier
Eating healthy seems like a goal that is both fun and totally achievable. There are so many recipes out there today that include alternative ingredients to replace all those unnecessary carbs, like spaghetti squash and cauliflower pizza. You’ll probably start by searching boards on Pinterest, creating a collage of new healthy recipes and inspiring quotes that will get you all amped to eat healthy. Doesn’t sound too horrible, right? But then you make your trip to the store with your healthy eating grocery list in hand, only to find that you simply can’t resist the frozen pizza and ice cream aisles.
3. Drink less
In all honesty, you know that drinking less would all around make your life easier. You’ll be saving money, have more time for homework instead of going out, avoid extra calories from drunk food, and probably save yourself from some kind of embarrassment. Just think of all those Sunday afternoons spent lying on the couch thinking to yourself, I am NEVER drinking again. Unfortunately you end up aborting the whole plan as soon as you step into the bar sober. The first sloppy drunk girl to bump into you, spilling her cranberry vodka all over your shirt and shoes will remind you why you started drinking in the first place.
4. Stop procrastinating
You did a couple homework assignments and read a chapter for class, but then you turned on Netflix. Game over.
