Cutie Alert! Attention University of Iowa students, this is not a test! We have a campus cutie on the loose this week; female suspect, Caucasian, early twenties, long light brown hair, light eyes and an extremely good sense of fashion. Goes by the name Bailey.
Alrighty Hawkeyes, you’re definitely in for a treat. This week’s campus cutie is Bailey Gilbertson, a fun and outgoing senior here at the University of Iowa studying elementary education. As you can see from her pictures, she has rightfully earned the campus cutie title!
Not only is Bailey totally adorable in her skinny jeans, Forever 21 paisley top and booties from Target, but she also has an adorably bubbly personality to match.
Bailey has no doubts about where she’s going in life. She loves little munchkins and says that teaching 2nd grade students would be her absolute dream job. This semester she is active in a reading practicum class, which she says is her favorite class that she’s currently taking here at the university.
“I get to work in an elementary classroom for eight hours a week while gaining knowledge and experience to further develop myself as a teacher!” Clearly, she likes what she’s doing.
Her hard work and dedication to her studies may be attributed to her idol, her older sister, who she says is the smartest, funniest, most hardworking, resilient person she knows. She strives to emulate her every day.
Friends of Bailey say that there is never a dull moment when they’re with her, whether its while playing intramural sports, or attending an Iowa sporting event–especially Iowa basketball games. There’s no doubt that she’s definitely a social butterfly. “You can always find me mingling downtown with my fellow Hawkeyes on the weekends.”
Bailey, like many others, is also looking forward to the change of seasons. “I am looking forward to the colors of fall to begin appearing and to be able to wear large sweatshirts, scarves and boots!”
When asked to describe her personal style, Bailey had just the right words to explain herself. “I think I am a combination of sporty, girly and laidback. When I am working in a classroom I think my style would best be described as girly, otherwise I am usually wearing jeans, flannels or anything that is comfortable.”
In order to get the look she’s going for, Bailey says she enjoys shopping at places like Target, Forever 21, Charlotte Russe and little boutiques in various towns that she visits.
So if you see this week’s campus cutie around on campus be sure to take notes, because you can definitely learn a thing or two from her!Â
