What to do in Iowa City During the Summer

  1. Check out a movie or documentary at Film Scene on a rainy day
  2. Drink a refreshing beverage or grab dinner on one of the many restaurant patios in the Ped Mall.
  3. Go to one of the many Summer of the Arts events. Enjoy free live music from their Friday Night Concert Series or catch a movie on the Pentacrest during their Free Movie Series.
  4. Shop in the Ped Mall at one of the sidewalk sales local shops and boutiques have throughout the summer.
  5. Go to the beach at the Coralville Reservoir, Lake MacBride or Kent State Park.
  6. Rent kayaks or paddleboards at the Terry Trueblood Recreational Area.
  7. Go hiking at the Coralville Reservoir area or Kent State Park.
  8. Go to the Iowa City Farmer’s Market.
  9. Catch some rays at the pool in Iowa City, Coralville or North Liberty.
